2000년 설립한 대한민국 게임 회사 위메이드는 2018년부터 다양한 분야로 사업을 확장하며 변화에 유연하게 대응하고 일관된 기업 이미지를 유지하는 아이덴티티 시스템이 필요했다. 위메이드의 다양한 이미지를 통합하면서 고유의 개성을 표현하기 위해 사용성이 높고, 무한한 확장이 가능한 문자 기반의 디자인 시스템을 개발하고, CI로 개발시켰다. 위메이드 디자인 시스템은 황금비율(1:1.618…)의 그리드에 기반해 문자부터 그래픽까지 확장되며 한계 없이 발전한다. 문자로 개발한 CI는 그 자체로도 강력한 심볼의 역할을 하며, 가독성을 더해 개발된 전용 서체 ‘인피니티 산스’와 유기적 관계를 형성한다. 위메이드의 다양함을 포용하는 회색(warm gray)으로 기본 컬러를 삼고 명도 변화를 주며, 번뜩이는 상상력과 생동감은 플래시 그린(flash green)으로 표현한다.

WEMADE, a game company established in 2000, needed a new identity system to not only maintain a consistent corporate image but respond flexibly as expanding its business areas in 2018. We developed a design system based on letters which is highly usable and infinitely expandable and new CI of WEMADE to express their own characteristics as well as to integrate their various images. WEMADE’s design system extends itself without limit from letters to graphics because it is based on a grid of golden ratios. CI, which is developed as type, acts like a powerful symbol itself, and builds systemic relationship with a newly developed custom font, ‘Infinity Sans’, by adding readability. We use warm gray as background color that embraces the variety of the WEMADE by changing the brightness, and use flash green to express brilliant imagination and liveness.
